About RZINZ

Hello! I am RZINZ and this picture is a pretty good way to describe me, actually!

Right now I am a PhD student in WSU's Entomology Department, and my work focuses on the molecular evolution of phenotypic novelty and the interplay between phenotypic plasticity and evolution using beetles and their exaggerated sexual dimorphism as model systems.

I used to be a research specialist (read: lab tech) at the Medical University of South Carolina, in the College of Dental Medicine. I pretty much ran this bit of the lab, and spent most of my time imaging mouse teeth. It was about as exciting as it sounds.

if you want to get to know me a bit better, check out my tumblr, which is a short-form, more personal blog.
